Hilltop Farms is a small family owned Farm. Our passion is to live and eat clean by growing fresh organic fruits, vegetables, and quality poultry. Hilltop Farms was founded in 2012 on a very special property in southern California.
We started with a few birds, a few fruit trees and a small organic vegetable garden and we have expanded little by little over time. My grandmother Miss Anna or as we call her “Bunica” is the inspiration and forerunner.
She grew up with chickens as a little girl and encouraged us to buy some for the backyard. So, Bri and I went to the local feed store and bought 10 “Barred Rock” baby chicks. Grandma loved them because they brought back rich childhood memories. So, on a trip back to the feed store to buy more feed, I discovered, to my surprise, they had Ameraucana chickens that lay blue eggs. I bought ten more. And that’s how the passion was kindled and how my grandmother’s childhood experience turned into a thriving farm that produces home-grown healthy poultry and eggs. It has now turned into a passion that we share together and love doing as a family
Our chickens receive the utmost care and are raised cage-free with access to our grazing pasture.
We alternate between breeding pens to make sure birds do not get mixed up. All of the birds are fed a premium high quality feed.
