How to Order

You can place your and pay for your chicks directly in our shop. All orders are a preorder and by placing your order puts you on our waitlist. We are a small family farm and work on orders as they come in. We DONOT have preset future hatch dates. If you live here locally you can visit us by appointment and pick up your birds, feed, or supplies. WE CAN SHIP LIVE BIRDS TO ANY OF THE LOWER 48 STATES! (WE DONOT ship live birds to Alaska or Hawaii. Only hatching eggs) There is a risk with shipping. If you cannot assume the risk please source your poultry locally.

Minimum Order is 4 birds for chicks (Local Pickup)

Minimum Order is 5 birds for chicks (Shipped)

No Minimum on Coop Ready birds but we do recommend buying at least 2-3

Pricing

We also offer the option of growing out your chicks until they are ready to go outside if you don't want to deal with the heat lamps. It costs $2 a chick per week until they are fully feathered and ready to go outside around 6-8 weeks (We currently are not offering this option. If you need coop ready birds we sometimes have them later in the year).

Prices on birds go up $2 per week. Once a breed is sexed prices will go up. Prices will vary on older exotic breeds. Prices on the breeds page might not show exact value of the birds available. Please contact us for availability and pricing.

Birds ordered must be picked up with in 3 days of hatching.

If they are picked up after 3 days there will be an extra charge of $1 per bird to cover the cost of holding them. Price of birds goes up $2 every week.

Note: the pricing listed on the breeds page under their photo is the starting price for a day old chick.

Chicks are vaccinated for Mareks and Coccidia $2 per bird

We cannot combine shipping for different types of birds. They will have to be shipping in separate boxes.

We have shipping available to any of the lower 48 states. Supplies, feed, (we cannot ship large items or items over 5 pounds) and eggs can be shipped all over the country. Please message me in the Contact Us page to check for availability and pricing on shipping. I will send you and invoice through Square.

We do not ship day old chicks. We feel it’s better to ship them once they’re at least 2 weeks old and a little stronger to handle the the transportation(chicks maybe different ages but all close enough in age to keep together). Chicks will be shipped with feed and grow gel. Extra feed and grow gel can be added to the order during checkout. You will also be able to add a heat pack for your order which is recommended for orders of 15 or less birds.

They will be shipped Priority Express or Priority Mail. All shipments are automatically insured up to $100. If your order total for the chicks exceeds that amount you can purchase additional shipping during check out. Refunds will be issued through the USPS insurance claims (they are held reliable for safe transport). No refund will be given for shipping. Once the birds leave our facility we are no longer liable for them. The third party shipper at that point assumes all responsibility for them. We do everything in our power to help them make the journey.

Chicks will be held for pick up at the post office.

Please specify a range of acceptable dates in the notes section before submitting your payment. After receiving your order, we will contact you by email with a scheduled ship date. We fill orders on a first come, first served basis, so it is important to place your paid order as soon as possible to get the best chance at earlier ship dates. Typically, an order can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks to ship unless birds are available. Please let us know if you are willing to accept any substitutions to have a quicker ship date. Please note that during the winter months chick orders will only ship once the weather is warm enough to safely ship them. Our number one concern is that our chicks make it to you safely so please be mindful of this when placing your order.

There is a risk with shipping. Shipping can cause stress on the birds and casualties can occur. We do our very best to help them make the journey but things don’t always go as planned. If you cannot assume the risk please do not purchase!! We have had very good success with shipping birds but losses can occur. It is impossible to prevent any losses.

Shipping for live chicks is a flat rate of $60.95 per box for chicks for Priority mail and it’s $75.95 per box for Priority Express.

Shipping for hatching eggs is $30.95 per dozen Priority Mail.

(Shipping prices are an estimate and can cost more. The prices above are for a small box of chicks.) If you order diffrent types of poultry they would have to ship out in separate boxes.

Shipping will vary for older bird so please contact us for a quote. The USPS charges much more when shipping older birds. Shipping gosling and turkeys will cost more in shipping as well.
