Whitings are wonderful, PROLIFIC layers of large POWDER BLUE eggs. Their egg size and eggs per year rivals any production bird (i.e. Leghorns) They also begin laying promptly at 5 months of age. This relatively new-to-the-scene breed comes in a MYRIAD OF FEATHER COLORS, with almost anything possible including Barred, Duckwing, and Wild Type. They are very ACTIVE chickens, with a FRIENDLY, NON-AGGRESSIVE temperament. What's not to love?
