These much-anticipated and highly sought-after chickens are well worth the wait.

These are very large, wide chickens with gentle personalities. They have beautiful super fluffy feathers that nearly touch the ground and they only become more beautiful with age. Patience is required to work with Mottled Orpingtons. Perfecting the breed is a slow process. The full color of the birds are not shown until after their first moult. After several months the mottling can increase to show more white and blurred appearance. Individual feathers can also change in appearance. If a feather is plucked out the regrown feather can have more or less mottling. If you are looking for an exceptional rare breed that will bring years of enjoyment then Mottled Orpingtons just may be the breed for you.

Like other Orpington varieties, they have the same quiet and gentle disposition. Orpingtons are an excellent choice for families and backyard flocks in urban settings. There are very few farms in the United States to own this magnificent bird.

Prices listed are for babies age 1-6 days old. Prices go up $2 per week to cover the cost of feed and electricity. Price might be higher upon pick up.
